The Allen Wranglers. WTF

Getcha popcorn ready, Indoor Football League fans.

Terrell Owens is close to agreeing to a mid-six-figure contract to play with the Allen Wranglers in suburban Dallas, according to the Wranglers general manager Drew Pearson and owner Jon Frankel. The deal would also include an ownership stake of "likely 50 percent" for Owens, Frankel said.

Either he's hard up for money or he just really and truly loves football and it's the only way he can find worth in his life. I liked TO he was a headcase but he was fun to watch, still surprised no NFL team gave him a look this year.

Might be more desperate for attention than money at this point.

It's got to be something. He's tarnishing his already tarnished legacy. If he wasn't so out there he'd be considered one of the best to ever play wide out but because he's the "TO Show" his great play gets treated more like an after thought.

Statistically yes he is one of the best receivers in history, but because of his personality and off the field stuff a majority of people forget that. The casual football fan might think he's good but not as good as he really is.

i guess so. dude was a FREAK on the football field. don't think i've seen a receiver that much more physically dominant over the defense (maybe megatron or randy moss).

    • Trade up for a project was dumb, he's gonna be 25 next month. By the time you're deciding on whether he's worth the 5th year option or a big contract you're already gonna be thinking about moving on soon either way.
    • I mean this is legit AF statement....you don't spend that draft capital on a project just like you don't trade up for an injured RB either, which was done in the same draft.  That draft IMO was a necessary evil for DM to learn from his mistakes (I think he did but some may not). Also I have to mention I'm a big Coker fan and think getting him as an UDFA was obv a steal.  Coker is the better WR2 at this point as Legette and its not even debatable unfortunately.  Give him year 3 but don't expect much from him.  Continue in the offseason with adding as much talent and competition on the roster as possible including WR.  Or just trade his ass for peanuts and continue to build roster by any means.......
    • Losing him was a huge loss. Look at how the Bears went from a 5 win team to now a 11 win team. The Lions offensive line is bad this year, secondary is bad and Campbell going for it on 4th down all the time has cost them games instead of taking the Field Goals. Goff is inconsistent as well.
