I was seeing if if was supposed to rain this weekend, I went to weather.com and was surprised to see a picture of the Panthers on there. :blink: Anyways, we're number 10 on the list with our first game against the Bucs.

]#10: Carolina at Tampa Bay {September 9}

Let's begin by giving a shout-out to playing in September heat. There is no outdoor stadium that has to deal with the early-season heat and humidity like Raymond James Stadium, as you can see in the fast facts above.

September lies on the back end of Florida's "wet season", marked by slow-moving afternoon thunderstorms. There's also the fact that September is the heart of the hurricane season. Even an unnamed, slow-moving, disorganized, tropical system can spread heavy rain into the Sunshine State.

More often, it's Florida's trademark summer heat and humidity that takes its toll. While players have been through the drudgery of slogging through training camp in the heat, a September afternoon game in Tampa, when players aren't yet used to playing all 60 minutes of a game, can be challenging.

At least the schedule provided one small break, this divisional battle starts at 4:15 pm ET, pushing the fatiguing second half well past peak heating of the day.
