MKG also received a fair share of criticism on his shot based on how it looked and not necessarily the outcome.

I did some research on MKG and he rarely shot jump shot's, not because he couldn't but because after he misses one he won't attempt another. Most of MKG's buckets came at the rim.

Yesterday I saw the same think from MKG, he nailed his first jump shot above the front left elbow for three but came back and missed his next jump shot. After that, he didn't try another jump shot. If MKG can gain confidence from players like Taylor and Gordon, I expect him to develop a consistent jump shot while also being able to get to the rim any time he wants.

I was also reminded that coming out of Central Arkansas, Scottie Pippen's jump shot was very similar to MKG's. However, Pippen kept working on his shot and eventually developed a pretty decent jump shot as well as a pretty consistent three point shot.

That seems to be what everyone is compaing him to. He has that poiny forward feel to him by trying to get teamates involved. I hope he turns into something like that and stays healthy.

    • His size will always limit him.  Do t kid yourself
    • When a team has EXPECTATIONS you have to show them that your fandom and praise is EARNED.  People would be mad if the they lost two one goal competitive games like 2023 but they wouldn't have gotten booed out of the building because the effort and competitiveness would be there but to lose in THAT fashion at home with your entire top line going free lance and saying fug this yeahhh.
    • Well with back to back road games to open the season again we really can't afford a "slow start" at least not for the psyche of the fanbase that is already at rock bottom from years of losing. I think that will depend on our approach to preseason this go around. But I do agree the makings of a culture change could be big for us. At the same time we heard talk of this last year and then we got the doors blown off multiple times. I can agree with you it's best to try to maintain perspective until we get closer to the midway point of the season. The main things I want to see early on even if we aren't necessarily winning is spark and toughness from the offense and defense and at least keeping games close.
