it was a very short interview.... smitty said that you're only a great player if you win a championship and the guy interviewing said well what about barry sanders and and smitty said i made a statement and now i'm issuing a rebuttal lol. Then they asked him if his career was over right now today he would never play another game, where does he see himself in canton... then he got teary eyed and said he's living his dream... that's really about all there was to it, it was a short interview.

Steve was asked about fight between him and ken lucas and he said it was behind him and how important giving the ball to lucas was and how lucas was surpassed. Later on they asked does steve play angry he said no but i do play with a chip on my solder. After that they asked hime where was he in the list of greats and smitty talked about how getting chapionship is important. Sterling also asked him about barry sanders because steve said only championships make a player remembered as great and smitty took it back saying barry was great and he didn't want to upset barry. Lastly they asked smith where was he going to be if he stopped playing right now in canton. Smith said he had lamination of Jerry Rice and two other guys (sorry forgot who) and a big question mark under the pics saying where was he. Smith then started to cry saying this is his life and he wants to be best and said he's probably 498 recivers away and he tries not to look at it.

My fav part was when they asked him what was his favorite comment abou

    • I'm not to sure it's a solid argument to try to estimate what he will do this season, BUT he's had a solid 3 years in the league. Here's his numbers compared to Jewell's for the same time period. I can see the logic of getting a starting MLB for a (at best) WR4. AT, XL and Tmac are certainly our top 3 guys IN 2025. Certainly worth pondering.
    • Training camp just started and it's already starting... https://www.facebook.com/reel/24277303321904901/?mibextid=rS40aB7S9Ucbxw6v LOL No one believes you and you have fan pages sharing this with a "Play him or trade him" headline. Oh wee mayne. This is why no front offices wanted any part of this.
    • Honestly, it only makes sense if you're trying to chase being the best bad team you can be this year. The number one question we need answered this season is whether or not Bryce is our long-term franchise QB. Trading away a second year WR who was second on the team in catch percentage, first in yards per target, and who clearly outplayed your 1st round pick for a likely one year rental fill in LB is exactly the type of short sighted desperation moves that has made us the worst franchise in the league under Tepper. We gotta stop making these types of moves and just focus on building a good organization and a good roster. Lloyd is a JAG LB another bad team and awful defense is wavering on and a couple of Panthers fans are salivating over him. Oof. We just need to be patient and wait. Definitely make some calls around the league to teams deep at LB and see if there's an opportunity to add one for a late round pick. Definitely shop the waiver wire hard. The reality is that LB is almost certainly going to be a weakness for us this year. We weren't fixing our entire roster in one off-season and we're not fixing an overall weak positional group in late July.  If you trade for Lloyd LB is still a weakness and you've given up a young promising WR who could potentially help you answer the question of whether or not Bryce is that guy. That's bad football business.
