He's an above average TE. Doesn't possess plus athletic ability. One dimensional player. Possession guy. He is what he is. He's our 2nd best option in the passing game.

 

He does possess athletic ability just by virtue of being an above average TE. He just doesn't have elite athletic ability that a person like vernon davis or gronkowski has.

To me it seems like Cam's deep ball has been off most of the year.

 

No trust in any of the receivers to get it.

 

When your as talented as Cam, when your off, it is either mechanical or mental.

 

Granted too, deeper routes require more time to set proper footwork up and when you are worried about pressure...

 

Bottomline is that we need Moncrief and/or Benjamin asap
