Sessions and McBob have been awful tonight while Henderson and Zeller have been playing really well... yet Clifford keeps those two in for long periods of time...

Management must have had told the team to tank because there's no excuse for this poor display of coaching.

The Cats looked like a solid 5-6 seed for the first 27 games. Something changed after the December 21st game against the Jazz.

Well... we haven't gotten the opportunity to be positive in a while...

So I'd like to commend Cody Zeller on what probably was his best half of basketball in his young career.

Zeller went 2 for 3 from the field for 5 points with 2 rebounds, 1 steal, and 1 blocked shot.

His defense was a concern coming in to the league, but tonight it's been great. If I'm not mistaking, Boozer has not scored one point on Zeller (all on McRoberts). Zeller made a great defensive play on Boozer when Boozer was in the triple threat postion... Boozer turned to face Zeller and Zeller ultimately tipped the ball from Boozer and made the steal. Then Zeller had a great block on Noah that resulted in a jump ball which he won to Pargo. Zeller played good help defense off of Boozer once Noah got by Jefferson. Zeller met Noah in the air and got a jump ball out of it.

So with that said, good job Cody.

I left at about the 2nd quarter. So idk they got injured. Are they ok?

CDR slammed his hip into another player. Kemba looked like he dislocated or broke a finger. Kemba's injury looked a little bit serious but shockingly both of the came back in to start the second half.

    • Yeah, if you tune in for any of the remainder of the season you will get what you're asking for. Nobody but yourself to blame. This is a sports franchise of losers, for losers.
    • Here is my take, go ahead and roast me, I'm ok with it, I know where I am. I'm not ready to throw in the towel just yet. I will wait until week 4 or 5 before I entertain that option. This game I blame on the coaching staff. Their failure to give reps to the first team during the preseason was reflected in this game. Lets just call this what it is... our preseason warm up game. You could see that the whole team was flat in the first half. Every aspect of the game, the basic fundamentals. Mental errors, missed tackles, timing on routes, they were not ready for this game. Jacksonville is not a great team but you could clearly see their energy level surpassed ours. I do have to give credit to our defense. They did hang in there and kept competing through 4 quarters (minus the 71 yard run). The way our offense played it's a wonder Jacksonville didn't put 40 on us. Positives I saw, (I know, I know), but come on, we still have 16 games. TMAC IS that guy!! Chuba looked good, and overall, our O-line looked good. As bad as Bryce looked at times I do feel like we're a step or two away from connecting with our WR corps. There were plays to be made that were JUST off by a step or two (again, I know). We have talent at WR, we have talent on offense. To me, this game just looked like a team that was not mentally prepared for NFL week one, and less, "oh my god, we're the same old Panthers". Now I get it... a lot of this hinges on Bryce Young and his confidence. If he can erase this and focus on building continuity with these receivers I honestly think we're not going to suck as bad as we did today. XL... IDK, the jury with him is still out, but there is no doubt the kid has mega potential. Our defense, honestly, considering we have a bunch of new guys on that side, they held their own considering the offense could never change the momentum of the game. I am as disappointed as everyone else at another week one poor performance. But I also realize we are STILL rebuilding. Lets just take it week by week right now and see if we have ANY talent that rises to the surface. Because I really do not know what we have talent wise. And that is not just limited to the QB. So, we will see, but I'm not going to call it just yet... just my take. Now fire away! lol
    • Well for one, what other realistic choice is there? Barring a season ending injury, Bryce is the guy for this year. Next year all options are open, but there aren't any other real world solutions for the 2025 season.
