Are we that much better than St. Louis? Most concerning to me, is Ron Rivera coached team vs. Jeff Fisher coached team. They should be able to keep it closer than 7.

Not sure if you understand how this works, but as money begins flowing in on one side of the ledger, Vegas adjusts so that 50% of the money is on one side and 50% is on the other.  Obviously, Peter, Paul, Mary, Tom , dick, Harry, Crosby Stills and Nash had money galore going in on our Panthers.  The scales had to be balanced.

Young must've bet on St Louis. Mutherfuger.

Hall and Oates or Simon and Garfunkel might've been the culprits as well

I refuse to acknowledge him.

They're Crosby Stills and Nash.  Young can eat an entire bag of dicks

So what you are saying is they changed the odds to make it a more attractive bet to bet on the rams?

This means most we're betting on Panthers so they adjusted to incentivize public to take Rams.

-5.5 is also a very attractive line compared to -7

To bet on the Rams on the spread, yes.

Means the public is HEAVY on St. Louis. There's two schools of thought. I'm of the school of thought there is a lot of big buildings in vegas, so the public overflow of support means go the other way with the pick... which would mean......

Ok ive seen this said a few times but this just doesnt make sense to me. What do you mean exactly by "means the public is heavy on St. Louis" does that mean the Jags where really favored heavily against the. Broncos since they had a 21 plus point spread?

What? No it doesn't. If the spread grows for a team then it means money is flowing toward that team and the bookies have to increase the spread to incentivize bets for the opponent.

I apologize I made a typo bc  my wife was talking to me. The public is heavy on us, CAROLINA; which means go the other way with the pick..... because Vegas always wins so if more bets are on Carolina... if more money is on Carolina causing the line to move, the house usually will take it down
