A 6 yard TD and a 12 yard TD tells me Ginn has become more than a take the top off the defense type of WR. He's become a red zone weapon. Olsen set that up with his 2 TDs last week. Bucs were making sure Olsen was taken away as a red zone target, so we called Ginn's number and it paid off. Twice. Who'd a thunk it? BTW, nice block on that Stewie to Dickson to the end zone run. Ginn got a two-fer blocking CB Mike Jenkins into S Bradley McDougald and cleared Dickson's 6 for that slo-mo rumble to the end zone. Proehl takes pride in his WRs being able to block, and looks like Ginn's been paying attention in class.
David Newton lost all relevancy when he screwed up LDE and RDE for Charles Johnson and saying CJ was moving to RDE to play against the less athletic Right Tackles on the O-Lines. Still haven't seen an explanation for that one, Dave.
JNo_24 has earned the attention, but part of me wonders if he'd get as much publicity if he was under contract for another year or two. Just look at how the media eats out of Smitty' hands now that he's a Raven. Or how journalists could'nt suck off DeAngelo hard enough at the start of this season. Now it's how much Hardy will improve the Dallas defense. They're probably hoping the nicer they are to Josh, it will help sway his mind on where to play next year. Too bad for them he's gonna get his fanny franchised tagged and be "forced" to play in such a small market, but I'm sure we'll get plenty of articles about how "unfair" the franchise tag is when that happens. After all, why would any player in their right mind want to play for such a backwater team that the sportswriters have no reason to visit?
No-calls AND the picked up flags like the defensive pass interference on Conte in 2nd quarter. We're on our own 25, 2nd and 10, long bomb to Philly, Conte hanging on tight, one ref throws a flag, others come over and tell him to pick it up. Think it was the same two that called Ginn's TD correctly then screwed it up.
Situational football. TD Sr. had just picked off Crabbey at the Bucs own 29 yard line with 6:56 left in the game. We chewed 2:30 off the clock already up 17 points when this play happened. This was about getting Funchess a red zone look, not running up the score. If he catches it, great. If not, kick a FG and go up by 20 so the Bucs have to score 3 touchdowns in 4 minutes to beat us.
He IS playing you moron. Look at the snap counts Voth posted on BBR. We had 58 offensive snaps vs. Tampa and Funchess was on the field for 26 of them (45%) Bersin was on the field for 21 of them (36%) and was the leading receiver. Funchess just isn't getting open yet. This thread is horrible. And we don't owe Washington jack-poo for snatching Delaire off of their practice squad. No picks. No cash. No first-born children. NOTHING.
Will we beat Seattle? Only if they have a 3-2 record going into our game. If they don't, then they're "not a good team anymore" and the Panthers having more points at the end of the game means that Seattle is crumbling instead of Carolina being an elite NFC team. Seattle will have beaten themselves. And that's just from the whiners on the Huddle. Imagine the media.
The whiners only respect the Seachickens and fudgePackers as good teams. If we lose to them while beating Philly and Indy, our season's over at 6-2 cuz they scared of Atlanta going 12-0 before we play them, as if that's "realistic". Here's the real "realistic". Every team gets starters injured. EVERY. ONE. OF. THEM. We've gotten to 4-0 without our #1 WR and best defender. Who else in the league has done that? Pats? Bengals? Broncos? Packers? Sure as hell not the Falcan'ts. They don't have the depth we have, and not all of their starters will be healthy all year. But the whiners won't let inconvenient facts like that stop them from getting worked up. Even if we get to 8-0 we'll have to listen to them crying about how every game afterwards will be a "trap" game. Or they'll say if so-and-so on the team we beat had been healthy, we would've lost, so even tho we won, we still suck. Or Cam is doing too much, even tho I could name plenty of games where Brees passed for over 400 yards with no RB getting more than 50 yards and zero TDs, but that's ok with the whiners. It's ok when Brees accounts for all the offense, but not ok when Cam accounts for all the offense, because Cam gets "different" yards than Brees. Or discounting the effort of our defense creating turnovers by saying the other team played sloppy and gave the ball away. Bottom line: they will sh!t in the punchbowl after wins and scream "I was right!!!" after losses. This is what trolls do. Don't feed them or their threads.
Sometimes the brain's wiring gets shorted out or crossed or flickers on and off with a concussion. One day I could separate the diamonds and hearts in a deck of cards, next day I couldn't tell them apart. Next day I could tell the difference, but then I was pulling out 5's and 9's when asked for aces. One time trying to read book, I just could not remember this one paragraph. I would read it eight times and still not remember what I had just read. Then my vision and memory were fine and I hit the gym and next day couldn't smell bacon and lasagna tasted like chicken stir fry. Bottom line is brain damage in concussions sometimes doesn't follow a predictable path. Maybe Luke is calling his mother "Dad" or suddenly slurring his words like he 's drunk, it goes away, then all of a sudden he can't read the buttons on a remote. The wiring in his brain could still be unsettled and it's honestly a case of them not really knowing if he's fully healed or something new will pop up the next day after he lifts in the gym or even puts on a helmet. It's not some conspiracy to hide the truth. They're just not obligated to go into that kind of detail about it, and if I were Luke, I wouldn't want them to release my test results or progress reports every day. That's very personal, intimate stuff even moreso than a picture of an MRI or X-ray, and teams don't release those to the public, either.
