  1. Pretty much most Vegas radio talk recommended taking the Broncos. Should've done that when I woke up on Super Bowl Sunday with the flu. Talk about an obvious bad omen.
  2. Ted Ginn Jr. Running Out of Bounds

When I look at Ginn, I'd rather if he doesn't take big hits. He's got a specific role and banging into defenders isn't one of them.  That and I bet Talib would've tried to break his legs with a low hit.
  3. I think it was Cowherd that said it but he recommended in situations like these to bet against your team. If they lose, at least the money blunts your disappointment. If they win, consider the bet a victory tax.
  4. Does it even matter? He got what he wanted. Bet he doesn't even care if he's suspended.
  5. Part of me wishes that if any team is allowed to take constant cheap shots, the other team should walk back to the locker room. Dirty play should not be tolarated.
  6. Not sure if I want to risk trading illegal block in the back for defensive holding. Heard his name a fair number of times this season. Not ideal when you're not returning punts for TDs.
  7. Harper and Cotchery already gone?

As the saying goes, it's better to drop players a year early than a year too late. That said, Harper's the more likely casualty. There's already leadership on the defensive side and has shown to be a liability in pass coverage. Could see a trade for another vet on the cheap though. Cotchery is the harder call given our young receiver corps and his savinness. Personally, the biggest issue I have with him is that he's just not big or physical enough to be an ideal possession receiver for Cam. Keep him if we don't have another viable option.
  8. Seahawk Frank Clark laying into Cam Newton

Number of damns do I give: none.
  9. Today's presser: Cam, Ron and Getty

    I guess that's a no on a Super Bowl 50 participation banner.
  10. "Show me a good loser... "

You try to be a goody two-shoes, you get ripped for not caring or showing emotion. Go with blunt honesty and you get ripped for not respecting the game and not being nice enough. If you'all get criticised regardless, might as well say what you want and stop caring what others say.
  11. So where does Carolina finish next year?

I can see our offense regressing because teams will know how to attack Cam and we'll be slow to mitigate it. Our defense will carry us into the playoffs. Anything after that, well, I suppose we'll need to face the right opponents.
  12. The Fall of Cam Newton

If there is something that did bother me, mopey Cam was out there from the first drive. He also gave that impression during some of his press conferences. I tried keeping my hopes up but it's like when Jake was throwing interceptions. Bad Jake stayed bad. Mopey Cam has trouble flipping the switch. I don't know if something affected his mindset before the game but the moment I saw his face during the pre-game, it had that Atlanta feel to it. Why, I don't know.
  13. Cam pouting at the podium

Haven't seen it. Doesn't really matter to me. This is our quarterback for the next few years. You take the good and the not so good with it. Besides, if I was pummeled like that in the biggest game in my life for three hours, I wouldn't want to talk with anyone either.
  14. Apparently, Shula is unwilling to protect Cam on the podium like he wasn't protected on the field.
  15. Good season, folks

At the end of the day, I can't control what goes on out on the field. The best I can do is be a fan and hope they get it done.  Besides, 2004 was a lot worse. We actually had a chance. Here, it felt like everything fell against our favor. I'm not a believer of divine intervention but at times, it was almost laughable.
