It's essentially a loophole for some GMs to jump to the head of the waiver wire if they hear about a guy about to get cut. We must have some people whispering quite readily throughout the league for potential cuts.
As a team late on the waiver wire and considering it's the cuts-to-75, this is the easiest way to ensure your top guy that at the position that got cut.
The thing for me is knowing him, he's super passionate about the game and a hard worker so it's nothing mental. Also, he knows how to move around when a play breaks down or is extended having playing with Tyrod and Logan. I personally don't get it.
Yep. We used a loophole to get to the front of the waiver wire. This happens every offseason when some teams really want to ensure they get a guy about to be released. I don't understand how this is going past some peep's heads.
Also--considering that we have Brown and Ginn likely staying on the roster and our 2 big guys are injured (Funch for the time being), I'd imagine the type of guy we'd target is a mid-career vet on the larger side. Don't know who that could be though.
hmm...interesting. I'd actually prefer a trade at this point. I'm very interested to see what DG could come up with in this type of scenario. I don't think he's done that before if I'm not mistaken. Wonder who he could get a 5th-6th rounder for.
