  1. Panthers Work Out Cortland Finnegan

I think people are too quick to assume we're doing this with a plan of signing him now.  It's possible.  However, I think it is more likely we're looking around to see what is out there in case we suffer an injury at corner in the playoffs.  Colin Jones has done an admirable job but he just isn't suited to play nickel corner, something Finnegan has excelled at before.  God forbid one of our top 3 corners gets hurt, I think Finnegan or someone like him would get a call because I don't think we'd trust sending Jones out on the field. Plus, we very well could be seeing Arizona in the playoffs and John Brown (or Fitzgerald, who plays a lot of slot too) vs Colin Jones would be a serious mismatch.  So I think if anything this is a precautionary move, I don't think we're going to sign Finnegan now.  We already have 5 corners on the roster and there is no reason to let go of Williams or Jones.

I don't think WRs would be able to tolerate having to listen to both Finnegan and Norman in the same game.
  3. Revenge Tour isnt Finished

Delhomme crapped the bed, but there were a lot more problems with that 2008 team than just him.  Even without Delhomme throwing picks, our pass defense was horrific and had been since that GB game and I don't even want to think of the 300 rushing yards we gave up to the Giants.  Warner and Fitzgerald had a field day.  I feel like I was the only one who wasn't that surprised Arizona beat us.  The writing was on the wall. I'd easily take the '13 team over them and obviously this team is miles better.  Just my opinion but between Lucas doing his best to lose us games and Delhomme playing below average beginning with the Oakland game, that team wasn't as good as the 2013 squad.  Or really as good as they are made out to be, can't just ignore the QB play.  However, the '09 team showed us the potential they had, defense was far better and once Matt Moore gave us competent QB play, we were looking amazing.  Shame we didn't make playoffs that year.
  4. Pretty sure Simms or Nantz said that we were in the 3rd or 4th quarter when we were kicking the ball off.
  5. Josh Norman vs Dez Bryant

Bryant will get his.  Norman will get his.  Both are elite players.
  6. I still have nightmares of Ken Lucas.  I don't think I have ever seen a corner get burned more than he did in the second half of that season.
  7. I think it is better to keep Tillman out.  At his age, you don't want to rush anything and we're going to need him in the postseason.  I have a lot of faith in Bene!
  8. Man, I thought 12 was a lot... 23 straight games is ridiculous.  Hopefully our postseason ends kinder for us than it did the '08 and '09 Colts though.
  9. A video message from Thomas Davis

It's always interesting to see how guys interact on the team.  Like I wonder who the closest friends are.

Offense has looked great today. With that said, why does Shula always overthink himself with those overly complicated screen plays?  They almost never work.

Nevermind, totally forgot about Webb.  So 5 WRs.
  12. Official Panthers - Titans Gameday Thread

Only rolling with 4 WRs and 3 RBs for this game.  Scott Simonson is active for the game.  Interesting.
  13. Except I clearly just said it's a stretch to think that he could play it, at least play it well.  Cam would suck if he tried to play any different position now, but if he were to try to do so, then he'd be better off doing something on the offensive side of the ball than switching all the way to defense.  But yeah, I know nothing about football.  Right.   And what?  So what 6 positions could Jimmy Graham or Greg Olsen play since they can play TE?
  14. That Crazy Joe Web Wildcat Play

If Webb attempts a pass in the playoffs or the Super Bowl without an injury to Cam and DA, it better go for a big play or Shula deserves to be fired on the spot.
  15. I can see how you got that impression and my apologies for miswording it, but I wasn't trying to imply tight end is easy.  Just that if he were to switch positions, the only one that would make much sense is tight end.
