The Bobcats sounds like a WNBA team name.

For most of their existence, they played like on to.

Don't let the door hit you on the way out. From a horrible name (thanks, Bob), to a terrible logo, to horrible drafting. You guys just need to think of it as a nightmare and welcome the Hornets with open arms.

Can't wait for us to ruin the Hornets legacy as well! Woo hoo

You sound pathetic.

Don't get me wrong, I love anything Charlotte sports...but who in their right minds, that went to Hornets games, would be against the Charlotte NBA team changing it's name to the Charlotte Hornets, and its colors to Purple and Teal ?!

Not to mention we just had the best season of the Charlotte Bobcats existence (yes, a better team than 2009-10). It's not like the team isn't set up for the future. You add two more solid NBA scorers (SG/SF) and the new Charlotte Hornets could be one of the best teams we've ever had very soon. The 1992-93 Hornets team was the best we ever had, the Hornets were always good, never horrible (besides the early years). Our last game was a playoff loss. But we never "broke through". The team was always good, but never great. The new Hornets will bring so much excitement to the city, the passion will return to the city as a whole. That's important for pro sports franchises.

The change was blatantly obvious. And I, along with 99% of Charlotte Bobcats fans, are extremely excited about the change! I will be flying out from Colorado for the 1st game back as the Hornets in the NEW Hive!

The Anti-Hornets crowd is hilarious. Carry on...

    • You don't see white people glorifying thug life and blaming the police when they get caught. I had a juvi tell me straight up that he believed he was a man now cause he shot somebody. Tell me what's the problem with that. Clearly it's the police? Right??
    • And I've been in jails were there were literally no black people in them, violent or otherwise. Crime in general is a problem in poor communities and the black community is disproportionately poor, its not because black people or the culture is inherently violent. Regardless this is a separate issue and had nothing to do with police violence, unless you feel that violence against the poor is justified regardless of cause because poor people commit violent crimes and shouldn't be afforded equal protectiom
