Probably nothing more than some prepared statement apology and move on which is sad in my book.

He called the kid and apologized. They talked for a bit from what I read.

He did. It's all over the interwebs. He should still be let go though. Partly due to this ... and partly because he sucks. It's rare when a former player, in any sport, can give amazing commentary. Yet they keep piling them on us year after year.

Agreed 100% , he most likely didn't realize the guy was handicapped but he is awful on air, she he talks and doesn't listen, like always, it's frustrating to listen to.

So he mumbled incoherently for 5 minutes and offered to autograph the tweet for him?

Shaq is wack.... There! I said it.

I hate NBA analysts! They all suck.

They all mumble. They all struggle to talk. They're all versions of Warren Sapp.

I like Shaqtin a fool because it's hilarious, but otherwise to me Shaq always has a very negative energy about him.

i was kidding. but he doesnt need to be fired over that.

I think firing him would have been too severe.  But, they should have suspended him for a period of time to make a statement.
