@Tampa

Detoit Home

Pittsburgh Home

@Baltimore

Chicago Home

What you think? I think we can do it. None of those 5 teams made the playoffs last year

All 5 are teams with tremendous potential, though. They've all improved...except maybe for Chicago who just need to stay healthy. It'll be a very telling first 5 weeks no doubt.

It'd be awesome to have an anti Rivera start to the season for once

Though the bandwagon will roll through when the Steelers come to town so that's really a half home game.

Possible but 4-1 is probably more realistic

@Tampa

an away game against a division rival isn't exactly a gimme. especially since they have a brand new offense where it seems like they are trying to emulate chicago from last season to help out josh mccown. lavonte david in the tampa 2 will be deadly as well.

Detroit Home

this team is basically built to beat us. have a top 5 OL and an incredibly fast offense to combat our slow defense (remember the philly game in the preaseason last year? and mike wallace constantly burning us?). their defense blows chunks though so there's that in our favor.

Pittsburgh Home

depends on whether or not their OL can stay healthy and gels. their defense i'm not too sold on as their older players (kiesel, hampton, harrison, woodley) are all gone now or not that great in the first place (timmons, taylor). have a lot of questions marks at WR as well outside of brown.

@Baltimore

depends on how the offense responds to kubiak's ZBS. if the OL isn't up to snuff this should be a win because joe flacco sure ain't gonna beat us with his arm.

Chicago Home

probably have the best offensive playcaller in the league. marshall and jeffery would probably abuse our corners. but their defense was historically bad last year. houston and fuller, along with a healthy briggs and tillman can turn that around though.

what i'm saying is that it's possible. but it's also possible we lose all of them. this is a HARD schedule. not just these five weeks, but the entire season. people thinking we're gonna get double digit wins with ease need to take off the homer shades.

Man don't you know you can't utter such heresies on the huddle? Haven't you heard that our O-line, wide recievers, secondary, cheerleaders, Sir Purr, David Gettlemen all suck?

This is rebuilding year we will be lucky to finish 2-14.

I actually think 5-0 is very doable.

I think we'll beat Tampa, Pittsburgh, and Baltimore for sure. The other two are toss ups.

Well if our past three years with Ron are an indication of anything....

no it's not realistic.

It could happen. But I'm gonna be optimistic and say..... 3-2. I think we'll do that.

Rivera historically loses: week 1, vs. Lovie Smith, vs. Coach's first year with a team. that's just week 1.
5-0 is doubtful. 4-1 probable. 3-2 realistic. 2-3 disaster.

I'll go with 4-1. I think either Chicago or Detroit will torch our secondary enough to pull out a W.

I see 3-2. I think we win the three home games and lose both road games.
