Is that second sentence directed at Bersin or Hill? because it probably applies to both

It applies to the author more than anyone...

Nothing wrong with this at all. Wouldn't be shocked to see him as a contributor next season. The environment is perfect for refining a thrown away very raw prospect.

Any bets on when/if he gets activated off the PS or if he stays on all year?

My suspicion is if Gettleman and Proehl don't think he's making enough progress after 4-5 weeks to move up to the 53 then they'd probably release him.  If they feel at that point he's either ready for the 53 or close to ready, he'll stay on the PS.

Weren't their some amateur GMs out there ready to give up a draft pick for Hill?

wow. someone really has a lot of hate for bersin. i mean it sounds like actual hate.

no hate for Bersin. I just know we shouldn't hold a spot on the roster for somebody that didn't do any of that with number 1 corners. Hill is way better and he should have the roster spot imo. But whatever

There's future for Hill here, i don't think he would have signed to the PS if the didn't tell him at some point he'd play in a game

And that's exactly what I think! They probably told him if he learns the play book and improve, then he would play

Hill is superior to Bersin and its not even fuging close. Holding down a potential superstar WR for a 4th at best! lmao

I think Hill may be more talented physically. However, this is the absolute best scenario for both sides. Hill has time to work on all the intangibles. He can focus on making himself better.

Hopefully he and his agent are smart. Let him learn the ins and outs of being a receiver from one of the most reliable former NFL receivers. Also, Cotch & Avant can assist him as well. He has the ability to play in this league, but he is raw. Well.....medium rare. I dont believe it is in his best interest to hope on someone elses 53. Hopefully he agrees.

Edit: changed PS to 53

Hill is not better than Bersin? I didn't realize that a more talented WR than 87% of the ones already on the roster has to play special teams to be able to get on the field lol.

When you're talking about someone who, at the moment, is at absolute best a WR4 on a team like Carolina where Olsen doesn't leave the field it makes a huge difference. And before you pitch a fit note that I said at the moment - Hill may tear it up at practice and earn a roster spot but his current body of work is less than impressive, Jets QBs or not.

No downside to this, does anyone have the terms? Ie length/number of years?

Plus 3 WRs on the PS, seems too rich.......

PS signings are 1 yr. and pay, relative to being on the 53, very little.
