Actual evidence of Labour Party member lying about his antisemitism, while claiming the right are the antisemites

Recommended Posts

Here's the start where Jeremy Corbyn compares Israel to nazis.

LONDON (Reuters) - The leader of Britain’s opposition Labour Party, Jeremy Corbyn, apologized on Wednesday for causing “concern and anxiety” by hosting a 2010 event at which another speaker was reported by a newspaper to have compared Israeli policy to Nazi policies.

He ran from it because word is getting out how the Labour party has become so anti-Israel as it is bordering on antisemitism.  He stated he would stamp out any mention of it and that was that.

Then word comes out that he attended a tribute to the Palestinians that conducted the Munich massacre at the Olympics.  He denied he was "part" of the tribute, but just present which is just as bad.  Then the photograph gets out.

What the heck.  If if you were to quiz half of the Antifa/new crowd about Israeli relations I'd bet that you'd find they would align more with the nazi pos(s) people they're fighting than the actual sane people in the US.

I just read the article,  I must be missing something.

1. Criticizing Isreal for bad behavior doesn't make one anti-Semitic.

2. Hosting an event where a Jewish holocaust survivor compares Isreal to Nazi's doesn't make one ant-Semitic.

Those two things together don't make one anti-semitic. So where is the "actual evidence"?

The Times newspaper reported that Corbyn hosted a Holocaust Memorial Day meeting at which a Jewish survivor of Auschwitz, Hajo Meyer, who died in 2014, repeatedly made comparisons between Israeli policy and Nazism. Before his death, Meyer criticized Israel’s policies toward Palestinians.

G5 learn the difference between anti Semitic and anti Zionism there’s a giant difference.

Ok...which part allows you the platform to attend the Palestinian tribute to those that massacred the Jewish Olympians?

Do you think the Palestinians attacked the Olympians because

a) they were jewish (anti semitic)

b) they have a problem with the existence of Israel (anti Zionistic)

I did. I don't think the evidence provided supports he is anti-semitic. He clearly takes serious issue with Isreal's actions and feels for the Palestinians. Again not supporting Isreal's policies doesn't make one anti-semetic. I would see why Netanyahu would want to portray him that way so that he can be dismissed, it would be quite easy for that to work on Americans.

Amid the controversy over the Israel's Jewish nation-state law, which the Knesset passed last week, the legislation has now received support from an American white nationalist leader – Richard Spencer.

"I have great admiration for Israel's nation-state law. Jews are, once again, at the vanguard, rethinking politics and sovereignty for the future, showing a path forward for Europeans," Spencer tweeted over the weekend.

...

"The criticism of the nation-state law has mainly taken the form of scolding Israel for not 'balancing democracy with its identity as a Jewish state,' Spencer tweeted. "This is simply wrong." And he added: "The liberal media's critique of the nation-state law as 'undemocratic' reveals their own mendaciousness. When they say 'democratic,' they don't actually mean rule by the people; they mean a liberal, multicultural social order."

Last summer, Spencer told Channel 2 television that Israel should respect someone like him. He called himself a "white Zionist," saying that he wants a homeland for whites. "I care about my people. I want us to have a secure homeland for us and ourselves. Just like you [Jews] want a secure homeland in Israel.” Asked about the white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, which had taken place just prior to the interview, and at which marchers shouted "Jews will not replace us," Spencer told Channel 2: "Jews are vastly over-represented in what you could call ‘the establishment,’ that is, Ivy League educated people who really determine policy, and white people are being dispossessed from this country."

and netanyahu denies the holocaust

Netanyahu: Hitler Didn't Want to Exterminate the Jews

Prime minister tells World Zionist Congress that Hitler only wanted to expel the Jews, but Jerusalem's Grand Mufti convinced him to exterminate them, a claim that was rejected by most accepted Holocaust scholars.

it's actually antisemitic to conflate an oppressive settler state and a religion. you erase all jewish people who oppose israeli policy. i know jewish people who would break your teeth for the comments you've made regarding the religion. fug off.

A group of more than 40 human rights activists have filed a petition with the High Court of Justice, demanding the cessation of Israeli arms exports to Ukraine.

They argue that these weapons serve forces that openly espouse a neo-Nazi ideology and cite evidence that the right-wing Azov militia, whose members are part of Ukraine’s armed forces, and are supported by the country’s ministry of internal affairs, is using these weapons.

An earlier appeal to the Defense Ministry was met with no response.

The ministry’s considerations in granting export licenses for armaments are not disclosed to the public, but it appears that the appearance of Israeli weapons in the hands of avowed neo-Nazis should be a consideration used in opposing the granting of such a license.

Nevertheless, this is not the first time in which the defense establishment is arming forces that embrace a national socialist ideology.

In the past, Israel has armed anti-Semitic regimes, such as the generals’ regime in Argentina, which murdered thousands of Jews in camps while its soldiers stood in watchtowers guarding the abducted prisoners with their Uzi submachine guns.

According to a freedom of information petition to Israel's defense ministry from last January (Hebrew: read in full here), Israel also armed Bolivia's military regimes, knowing that Nazi war criminal Klaus Barbie was part of the regime. Legal documents used to convict the head of the junta also showed that Barbie's death squads used Israeli Uzis.

Despite his controversial ties to allies of the Nazis, White House counterterrorism adviser Sebastian Gorka has scored invitations to speak at upcoming pro-Israeli events.

Gorka will address on May 7 the Jerusalem Post conference in New York, alongside top Israeli cabinet ministers including defense minister Avigdor Lieberman, justice minister Ayelet Shaked and Naftali Bennett, Israel’s minister of education.

The list of speakers at the events also includes Israeli opposition leader Isaac Herzog and American Jewish leaders Rabbi Rick Jacobs, president of the Union for Reform Judaism, and Rabbi Julie Schonfeld who heads the Conservative movement’s Rabbinical Assembly.

In mid-July, Gorka is scheduled to speak at the Washington Summit of Christians United for Israel, America’s largest pro-Israel Christian group. David Brog, CUFI’s director, told the Forward that Gorka was invited to speak a while ago and that he is “used to having good friends being called anti-Semitic, and always insist on studying the facts for myself.”

In recent weeks, the Forward has reported that a Nazi-allied Hungarian group claims Gorka was a sworn member of the organization and that he had backed an anti-Semitic militia in Hungary.

it's always been funny to me how right wing anti-semitism concern trolling is actually targeted to effect evangelicals and other right wingers considering the super-majority of jews are democrats/liberals and are inclined to agree that creating ethnostates is a bad thing
