Anyone know a place that accepts donations of old textbooks? I have like 50 that I feel bad about just throwing out.

They're leftovers from college that I couldn't sell back. I assume somebody could use them though.

Since most college course change books every couple of semesters, you may be out of luck on giving them away. If you can't find some where, at least take them to a recycling center instead of putting them in the trash.

If you wanted to, you could sell them online I'm sure.

Put them in a bookcase and make yourself look smart. Light a pipe and a smoking jacket and swirl some scotch to complete the look.

I sell mine on .www.halfbay.com
I refuse to sell them back to the school because they don't give you half of what it is worth and then turn around and sell it for twice what they bought it for.

If you're in Charlotte, there's a donation box inside the College of Education building at UNCC
