The Yankees WILL go bankrupt.

Satan is bankrolling the Yankees, so eventually they will be the World Champions again since there will be no one left to play them.

God I hated the Yankees....but now my bosses' nephew (Mark Texeria) plays for them. Guess I will have to pull for them at least a little.

They are STILL looking for public funds for the new Yankee Stadium.

They have committed nearly 424 MILLION to their payroll and they overpay for yet another player.

Ad revenue even for networks are going DOWN.

These idiots, front office and players are only seeing the dollars in front of their faces and don't have the long view.

I'm all for making money but at some point common sense needs to come into play and realize you can get by on 10 a year instead of 22 or 4 instead of 8.

I'm going to even go so far as to predict as many as 3 teams could be on the brink of folding within 2 years.

Way to go greedy jackasses. Players and management you stink.

Not for the Yankees.

I would love to see them go bankrupt, but it wont happen. From what I'm hearing even with the signing of the big 3 contracts there salary will be less than last year.

The Yankees are charging $500-$2,625 for Legends Suite tickets in 25 sections at the new Yankee Stadium in the first nine rows around the infield, an area that contains 1,895 seats.

While those seats were filled for the April 16 opener, they were more than half-empty for the remaining five games on the homestand. Some entire sections were unfilled, but it's possible tickets for other seats were bought by people who didn't attend or spent much time in the three exclusive restaurants and lounges.

The cheapest tickets for the stadium are 5 dollars for partial view bleacher seats..... the average price to take a family of four out to a game is like 500 dollars or so....way too much money for seats and such.

Anyone that pays $500, much less $2,625 for A ticket to A ball game is a moron. Personally, I hope the Yankees, and Mets for that matter, both go bankrupt just because they are crazy enough to try to make people pay that much for a single ticket.

    • Is this dude a real life person or an alt of @GOOGLE JIM BOB COOTER that is a living joke exemplifying the white culture thread?
    • lol no one takes him seriously. He gets a courage award for bringing his hand-me-down  dad-politics into ttb while still asking to himself, "what does ttb mean again?"
    • I'm extremely pumped by this addition. It has to be the biggest addition since the team came back to Charlotte. I was too young to follow the original talented Hornets (Im sad), so I'm not going back that far. People and fans can say what they want about D12, but the man still have a lot left in his tank. And, Im tired of hearing how he doesnt fit in today's game anymore. There are only a handfull of big men today that I can really say, can shoot the ball: Davis, Towns, Embiid, Cousins and Aldridge.  Howard can still dominate! That's all that matters. The only neg I will give Howard is that I do see a lack of desire/effort to play at times. But, I believe MJ can help motivate him back to being a dominant big man again for next two years here.  Dwight Howard averaged a double-double last season: 13.5 ppg, 12.7 rpg, 1.2 bpg, and 1.4 apg.  D12 had "53", I said FIFTY-THREE double doubles last season. He had six games where he averaged 20 rebounds or more.  Guess who was the last Bobcats/Hornets era to even come close to that number.....Emeka Okafor in 2004 as a rookie with 47 double doubles (35.6 MPG). Then Big Al had 42 in 2013 (35.0 MPG). Howard did that while averaging 29.7 min per game. If you count out his 2014 season where he only played in 41 games, last season was the LEAST amount of minutes played per game in Howard's career.  Only three guys (Towns, Whiteside and Gobert) averaged more double doubles than Howard in 2016. And only four other guys ( Whiteside, Drummond, DJordan and Gobert) averaged more RPG than Howard last season. Other than Towns, none of those guys mentioned above can really shoot the ball any better than Howard. But, teams still want them on their teams for big contracts.    D12 will be a beast this upcoming season!
