I'm still a John Fox Guy. What is wrong with me.

Here are some of my reason.
1. This team won't quit on him they always seem too fight for Foxx.
2. I blame this on jerry he seem like he is setting Fox up to Fail and doesn't care how it hurts the future of his team.
3. The coaches before Fox made major blunders. Dom trading 2 1st round for gilbert. George S gave Jeff Lewis the staring job and got rid of fan favorite Stevie B before the season. Both cost the team a few bad years in a row.
Fox has yet to make those kind of mistake.
4. Jerry again is going at this season all wrong. If you have a coach that is not going too be here why have him coach the youngest team in the leauge. What happen is you fire Fox. You set your teamback 2 or 3 years because they have too learn a new system and what the new coaches want too.

If you ever hear him speak he says the phrase "you know" before every other word
He chews more gum than manly possible
Everything is day to day
Average is week to week
His favorite play is either a draw or run up the middle
He would punt on 3rd down if he could
How can you not love the guy...

You guys can pick on his one liners all you want, but the truth is, he is a players coach, will never call a player out(tho this can sometimes get guys motivated), his players play for him, we will not give up this year and are far from the worse team in the league. Sorry if he isn't Rex Ryan the media fairy, most coaches aren't and Fox is one of the most respected coaches among the coaches and he cares more about that than what most of us no-football bitch-ass fans say about him.

I just don't think Fox's style of playing not to lose, trying to keep it close, and running 80% of the time just doesn't work anymore. It's a passing league whether he likes it or not.
I disagree.
Ask Phillip Rivers how well being the NFL's most productive pass has helped his team win.

the sooner you get over him the easier the break up will be. Just pretend hes already gone to prepare
I still think Fox is a good coach but i'm not going too have a fit when he leaves. I'm more mad about the fact that he is still here. If it's a far gone conclusion that he is gone after the season why even let him coach this team? Why not just let him go and get the new coach in place in this lost season so the team is not learning a new system next year. So Jerry being cheap my have gotton us 2 years of losing football. Maybe 3. If he didn't plan too spend this year why not have the team learning a new system now and be ready for next year when hopfully he doesn't put the league before his own fans.

Well the team has been gutted this year and not built back, so the thought probably is to play it out, see who still plays hard this year and start next year with a solid core to build inside out from.

So we can expect to lose next year.

I still think he is a very good head coach and would like for him too stay.

1. I agree that the majority of the team would not quit on Fox. He is a player friendly coach. You can suck and he will have confidence still in his players.......he will clap his hands pat you on the back and tell you to get back out there. When guys mess up he will protect them in the media just about as good as any coach does in the NFL.
* there are some people like a Steve Smith who imo don't but into that. They buy into winning. I think the next few weeks will be interesting to watch Smith.
2. Fox was as good as gone last year. Jerry's goal wasn't to give Fox a winning team it was to put the next guy in position to win.
3. I can agree with that. As the Pat Y at espn in always says, Fox's strengths are also his weaknesses.
4. well said, the smart move was to make this move this year and just eat Fox's last year of his contract like we did with Jake.
