There was a smelly guy on the bus yesterday, and I was definitely offended.

Sorry you said offensive in the arena of race, usually means racist,
uh yeah just like how all the white people on this board are getting flustered.
But then we would have to explain to black folks that it is only percieved as racist, but in America there isn't any racism directed at whites. (sarcasm)
Look i'm not playing devil's advocate or anything, i'm just telling my wife who is black has heard the saying before and it's not a racist intent, if some old white dude got up there and said something like that that's relative to white culture i'm pretty sure some people would throw up the offensive flag i'm just being straight forward.
I'm not flustered... I don't know this reverend guy forom Adam and to be honest, I don't think he said this to be racist or offensive, but I do think that it was a dumb thing to include in a benediction in front of the entire country on a day like that.
At some point in life aren't we all offended?
