Why did so many people go to the game?

Fire the coach! Hire Bill Cowher! Jerry's destroying this team so stop going to the games!

Honestly I cannot tell the difference between my Cowboy friends and my Panther friends anymore.

As a paying PSL owner, it's hard to sit at home "in protest" after how much you've paid for the tickets. Your best option is to sell the ticket of course. But that only puts fans back in the seats, which makes guys like you ask why there are people there, and defeats the purpose of any sort of "protest".

If you could somehow magically get everyone not to buy anything at the game the rest of the season, and all leave at half time, that could hurt JR's wallet. Otherwise he has his cash money. Or just get everyone to sell their seats to rival fans and make him look like a complete laughing stock on gameday.

That's easy to say sitting at home mad at the game, but if you have already paid for your PSL's like I have, it is throwing over $100 in the toilet to not show up.

That is the sick beauty of what Jerry Richardson has done to the fan base this year. All but around 7000 of a 73,000 thousand seat stadium are paid for in advance through PSL sales. What was once the catalyst to get an NFL team in Charlotte is now being used to hold hostage the most loyal fans.

My options:

1) Don't pay my ticket invoice in protest and forfeit ~$5000 I paid for 2 PSL's

2) Try to sell my PSL's, which is like trying to sell a house in the current economy and situation with the team being so bad

3) Sell (or give away) my tickets. Only problem in that is only opposing team fans are willing to buy right now.

4) Go to game and get some use out of the $1000+ I paid in advance for season tickets for a team the owner refused to spend money to make competitive

Option #4 really is the only financially sound decision out of a list of undesirable choices. If you mail $100 every game, I will happily stay home

Nail on the head. I'm sorry that following this logic doesn't jive with the revolution that hard core message board enthusiasts want us to follow (who also happen to have zero investment in the team other than their fragile emotions).

Say it however you want, but I've never been prouder to have zero invested in this team.

I wish I could give out a piece of die instead of pie to the op.

You're making a thread on a Panthers related messageboard complaining about fans going to the game, and remarked that you were watching the game on TV. Yeah, you don't care at all

Just seems like yesterday when all we wanted was to finish out a season 8-8

I went because it was my first chance to go to a pro football game. I loved it despite the horrible loss and it really helped put many things into perspective for me.

For instance I didn't even care that I was surrounded by Saint fans in section 536. A little kid behind me would shout out the exact opposite of what I did (I shout DEFENSE he shouts OFFENSE) and you know what for the first two minutes it annoyed me but then I realized hey at least some other people in the stadium had some spirit and so it became something of a fun game with the kid to me and I loved it. I realized we are all there to watch football and the teams didn't matter any more to me. It was all just about having a good time, shouting my head off, and having as much fun as possible with the complete strangers who were Saint fans around me.

If I get the chance I'll go to another one too, it was awesome win, lose, or horrible offense.

God I hate that there were as many Saints Fans than Panthers Fans out there on Sunday.

when the panthers make the superbowl in a few years it's going to be a thousand times sweeter for those of us who sat through days like these than it will be for crybaby bandwagon nancyboys who jump back on board when it's easy
