equals joke of the league...That would mean we went from physical football to making a match made in heaven espn headline. I DONT want Luck, it just feels like Matt Stafford/ Alex Smith. Promote someone from within the organization to coach, fire davidson.
Our personnel/system hasn't produced a playoff win in 5 years.
Stay the course!

Stanford sure had a soft program when Toby Gerhart was pounding the rock for them.
Harbaugh runs a system where our backs could excell and Luck would be at home making play action reads.

You mean an upgrade from 70's style football to a real offense?
got it that would be so awful.

And anyone that thinks promoting from within the organization is a good idea needs to be kicked in head.

For the most part I think the package deal probably is silly. There is, however, probably some merit to believing that their existing relationship would help smooth over the transition period assuming that Luck is our QB of choice on his own (duh?) and that Harbaugh is our coach of choice on his own (matter of opinion - I could go either way on this one but I think he's going to make a good HC for someone). If each is our choice on their own why not be happy that there's a potential benefit to having them both?
For Luck's part he's like any draft pick...any one can bust at any time. Given what we've seen of him though he's probably safer than a lot of the others.

Jimmy clausen is more of a Alex Smith clone than andrew luck.
Minus the whole #1 overall pick ordeal right?
