i also believe the initial military report and announcement that they shot down that plane. that's about as nutty as i get as far as 'conspiracy theories' (which that is not, it was an announcement)

I don't. I think that was some newsperson trying to jump the gun on everyone else.

I agree, it was just one of many rumors that floated around that day and turned out to be mistaken.

Plus a lot of the "evidence" presented as its being shot down is off base.

Yes.. didn't you know planes have an auto-disentegrate feature now?

The box cutters had a self-destruct button

Planes always crash in the middle of a field leaving no debris, guys. Come on.

So...what....the government shot it down and went out and collected all the debris/evidence?

I'm only guessing here, since I'm neither an Air Force fighter pilot nor a specialist on demolitions, but I would think that shooting some very explosive missiles at a target around 30,000 feet up would tend to disperse as opposed to landing in a centralized location, as would be the case should a plane incinerate on impact with the ground.

Then how do you explain the cell phone calls?

I'm not saying they didn't happen. I think they may have tried to do something.
