Trade down and that is fine with me but there is no way in hell I'm ok with taking Peterson #1 overall. IMO the only pick that should be #1 is Fairley or Bowers at that spot to a team that trades up to get them...

No to any DB, WR etc with the #1 pick, none are worth it

with the style of defense we are planning on changing to a CB like PP would be Ideal. I dont think there is a clear cut person that "should" be the #1 pick.

that's not true

you're telling me if given the opportunity to draft Revis, Asomugha, Polamalu, Reed, etc #1 overall you wouldn't because they're DB's?

you take the best player available, period. Peterson might be that guy.

Pretty much. They just have to meet all the ones they have an interest in. Can't stop scouting the players simply because they aren't #1 material in a draft that has no true #1 on the basis of "Wishing someone may want to trade up".

Hell yes...F*** yes! I actually want Peterson a lil over Fairley right now...

Looks like we're going defense with the #1!!!

dont get too far ahead of yourself man. We still have almost 3 months left and we will probably be meeting with a lot more prospects then 2.

I like the 'no clear cut #1' combined with 'trading up our #1' rational. It makes perfect no sense...just like that phrase.

A fantastic player in a position of need. Too bad we're stuck with the stigma of #1 overall....

News Flash: the Panthers will meet with all the top draft prospects since they have the # 1 overall pick simply as a matter of due dilligence if nothing else.

It's just due diligence... And Peterson deserves the consideration with the #1 pick. Wouldn't be a surprise if we interviewed/met with somewhere between the top 10-15 guys.
