Maybe the rest of the league need's an eye exam.lol If he want's a trade he'll get it. I'd hope that's the only way it would happen. If someone got him for a 3rd, it's a steal. I hear the chatter about him getting older, people do that. Unless you think he sit's around pounding down twinkie's and zinger's all day. The fact is with the right QB, he could be very effective. I'd say Tom Brady would be quite happy to have that old man #89. And our QB play last year was so great, what's up with smitty lollollollollollollol damn

I have a hard time believing the Patriots would trade a 2nd for Smitty.

Different offseason, same stories. Trade this, sign that. What about this guy? That guy. This gets old real quick.

a second rounder in this weak draft is like a 4th rounder in any other year's draft.

Smith would be an absolute monster in NE.

smitty for a 2nd would be a steal.

if we managed to pull that off i would turn right around and trade that 2nd for a WR that really is worth a 2nd rounder.

only way we trade smith away is if the end result is us getting an upgrade at WR.

meh...i don't care what he or any other former panther does on any team. once a guy is gone, he's gone and not at all important unless he's on my fantasy team.

for all i care he could drop off the face of the planet quicker than joey galloway. i'm a fan if he's here, but if he's gone he's irrelevant.

no chance Smitty gets us a 2nd rounder. this isn't Madden, we'd be VERY lucky to get a 3rd rounder. realistically we'd get a 4th rounder.

with that said, the thought of Brady to Smith scares me. we'd basically be trading them a trip to the super bowl.

I still think we should keep him though, unless he starts openly demanding a trade. The return just isn't worth it.

Do it matter its not like they will be facing us in the superbowl..

I'd hate to see it but a 2nd rounder would be pretty clutch right now and he would instantly be a monster there and much happier I'm sure

same here. most of the people on here dont want to beleive that smitty isnt that guy that owned the league in 2005 anymore. to trade him for the 33rd pick of the draft?... we would be idiots not to do so.
