it's not a matter of education. most kids are taught biology. it's a matter of their parents taking pride in ignorance.

Evolution is not a scientific fact. It's a theory like, say, gravity.
I doubt evolution the same amount I doubt gravity.
Gravity is known and observable fact. Darwin's theory of evolution of species is both fact and theory. That organisms have mutated and changed over the years is fact. That it happened in the manner prescribed by Darwin is theory.
