Mr. Scot

QB Camp: Newton

Thoughts on mini chalk board?

I still wanna see more. I like Cam, but a good highschool QB knows those things.

I am not saying he doesn't know a lot more, but they didn't ask him more, or show him doing more.

So far...

Positives:

- comes across as likeable and charismatic, at ease with being in a leadership role

- receptive to coaching suggestions and ideas, willing to answer questions

- very athletic on tape

Negatives:

- explanation why he couldn't call a complex play came across as making excuses

- whiteboard work highly simplified, nowhere near on the level of what Mallett did

Gruden would make a great ambush journalist. He sets these guys up, gets 'em feeling good, and then pounces.

"Heeeeyyyy, you're great...you're so great...you're fantastic...YOU STINK!"

Cam is a 3yr project, we have a tough schedule...real possibility we can draft Luck or one of the 3 franchise QB's next year. Could place themselves in tough spot yr from now by drafting Cam

If we get Cam, you can forget about Luck. That would be 4.5 QBs in 3 years...what team has ever done that stupid poo?
