The funny part is that they didn't even mention Carolina at all! Entirely new coaching staff, and oh yeah they drafted Cam Newton #1 overall.
Instead they talked about The Golden Calf of Bristol needing to get his mechanics down! I can't believe these morons are so disconnected with reality!

Here's the regular link to the article
My thoughts? It's ESPN. Expecting anything other than poo slung on the wall in hopes of it sticking is raising your hopes up too much.
And here's how I think most people will react (that care):

The team is hit hard by the lockout, sure, but our coaches? Not at all. Rivera actually now has an excuse should the team struggle early on... The coaches mentioned there all have far "hotter" seats than Rivera. The Panthers won't give up on Newton after one year, anyway... I just don't see how we'd even belong on that list.

ESPN ran a similar article a few weeks ago talking about the top 5 teams with the best and worst situations in the lockout.
They were talking pretty much about the same people, Vikings (New QB and staff), etc etc and didn't even mention the Panthers who, arguably, are in just as bad or worse situation as the Vikings.

Teams that are expected to win now like the Vikings have the most pressure. Teams like the Panthers that are rebuilding have very little pressure. Two years from now will be a different story.

1. ESPN
2. Panthers have no expectations. Rivera has a free pass this year.

Free pass?! I want nothing short of an undefeated season and a superbowl win!
