josephperson Joe Person
Out this wk: Beason, Otah, Goodson, Schwartz, Ziemba. Questionable: Hardy, Clausen.

carolinagrowl Steve Reed
Jimmy Clausen has a bruised elbow and didn't practice. It's unclear if he or Derek Anderson will play the fourth quarter vs. the Bengals.

I hope Hardy plays.

Oh, and Beason had minor surgery.

josephperson Joe Person
Jon Beason had minor surgery on his Achilles on Tues. Still has not been ruled out for week 1.

Damn... hope Beason is ok. Minor surgery is still surgery... and I tore my achilles a few years ago... achilles injuries are no joke.

Ah, crap. Here we go.

I really hope it was minor, but have never heard of Achilles surgery that was minor. Can't see how he will be ready week 1.

one time i had glass in my foot and went to the dr.

he performed a "minor surgery" by numbing my foot and digging the glass out.

they probably just cut his ankle open to drain some blood or cut something out.

So did Clausen really injure himself on that last series vs Miami or is this something different?

A complete ACL tear is a lot different than "minor surgery"

I remember him getting hit hard back at our own goal line late in the game....right when he tried that long pass.

He got up shaking his arm. Might be when it happened.

If it was that minor they should've said he went in for an outpatient procedure

Tell that to the Giants. Compared to most teams, the Panthers are relatively healthy. Most of these injuries aren't very serious. Right now Beason is the only major concern.
