Cam Newton 29: safety

Am I blind? I figured folks double check high profile players

There was a safety with the same name on the roster several years back. He played at Furman.

But I'm not surprised, since they were eavesdropping on a broken up cell phone call from Ron Rivera and Marty Hurney where Ron said "It's not Cam's fault we need a safety"..

It's an error in the database or something It's matching the old guys number and position with the QB Cam Newton.
