Carolina doesn't have a 3rd round pick, they traded it to Chicago for Olsen. So if they take Blackmon like most on here want them to do, your looking at a 2nd round DT, then 4th-7th round scrubs. Not sure how they do it ever year, but the Patriots have 2 Firsts, and 2 Seconds.

Don't think we'd be looking at a 2nd round DT, we'd be looking at a 2nd round CB in my opinion. And there looks to be some solid talent available at CB in the 2nd.

Can't that go either way?
Good D-line play = less time to throw = only need mediocre coverage.
Good D-back play = no one open = only need mediocre pass rushers.
Or am I missing something here?

But the point is the talent and value in the 2nd will be at CB...not DT...

because we find guys like that every year in the 3rd round.

3rd rounder on olsen = draft pick well spent.

so what does the pats do with all those draft picks anyways?

rarely are they ever put to good use, imo.

oh...and how many playoff games have they won since they went to the superbowl last time?

i think i'll try to find a better pattern to follow.
