Ending a high tension hostage with no bloodshed IS SENDING THE WRONG MESSAGE!!1!!
Do we want people to think that while we are willing to stand our ground, we are open to peaceful solutions?
This is just horrible!

We place different value on the lives of people who do such things as kidnapping, theft, murder.
