You all realize that this is what an open democracy brings us to?

That's why I don't go rah rahing over the flag and "our way of life" -it has its strengths and weaknesses just like any other form of population control, er, government. I've been in some intolerant countries, and some really tolerant countries, and all have their pluses and minuses. All of them had their share of happy people and unhappy people, but I must say that the happiest people in general I've been around are the Germans, who are more leftest/socialist than we are currently, but not as left as the Scandinavian countries or Switzerland, for example. And "being happy" is really the end game of life, not "freedom", which lets face it, is an illusion.

why didn't you protest them?

I have been. I don't have the time to go out and openly protest, but I've been very open and vocal about my dislike of past administrations and the irresponsibility that they have shown.

well the people who do go out and openly protest, why don't you think they held teabag parties before now?

I believe that most Germans are right handed which means that they have food, and damn good food at that, in the right hand and a pint in the left. Who could be unhappy with that?

The beer was much better than the food IMHO.

Because it reached a tipping point when Obama decided to spend a trillion dollars we don't have. It has just reached that critical point, period.

I'm not sure why they didn't have teabag parties but if I had to guess, I think the biggest reason is no one has seen spending like this ever. Obama plans to spend more than all previous Presidents put together. He's wants to write checks that we have no way of possibly cashing. I honestly believe people are finally starting to put things together and they are scared. No one wanted to admit Bush was a baby socialist when elected and progressed into full blown when he left. I guess ignorence would be the driving factor.
