Awesome special teams player who was sidelined behind entrenched starters, I think this might be a potential starter and a good signing.

Just a note: he hasn't had much of a chance to produce because he's been the primary backup for future Hall of Famer Ed Reed. It'll be interesting to see what he may have picked up from his teammate and Baltimore coaching.

If nothing else I love this move because we needed help on special teams and I'm hoping he can start. He does run a 4.45 40 and seems to have good instincts.

Per PFF:

10:26*Following his visit yesterday Aaron Wilson is reporting that the Carolina Panthers are expected to lock up a deal with former Raven S Haruki Nakamura on a three year deal. Nakamura struggled for playing time this season registering only 39 snaps this year and picking up four tackles. His highest snap count in four seasons in Baltimore was 286 during the 2010 season where he struggled to make an impact but also proved not to be a weak link. The Panthers were killed last season by big plays yielded by their safeties and Nakamura should at least bring competition for Sherrod Martin, on merit he could beat him out.
