I've been hearing alot of good things about Poe. People saying his a beast at 350 pounds. I would really like to Carolina choose him at number 9 pick if it is possible. I think that would be big for our front 4. I think Poe will become an elite DT in next few years. That is why I say draft him now why we have a chance. The man looks like he has a motor on him.

Just because some mock drafts got him going to the Jags doesn't mean it will happen. Anything can happen in the draft.

When it comes to defensive tackles it's 70% mental and 30% physical. Poe is a workout warrior, nothing more. So was Vernon Gholston and we all know what happened to him...not a single sack in TWO years....32 games....500 plays...

Basically Poe can Bench alot and look agile in the drills. Yet if he is so massively strong why is it that he was routinely pedestrian in one of the softest conferences in the game, that is the question. There are only two possible answers.

My official first round draft choice is... Dontari Poe.

A true nose tackle, Poe is the anchor this defensive line needs. At close to 350 pounds, he can hold his ground and disrupt what the opposing offensive lines are trying to do. While Poe will not rack up sacks or even tackles, he will be an integral and unheralded piece of the defense. Should the Panthers ever move to a 3-4, he would fit the mold.

Yes, we have Ron Edwards, a mediocre starter at best even when healthy. Now that he is coming off an injury, I have little faith.

I don't see any DT in this draft being an immediate impact. If we do take one, I hope they can at least help us end a drive or two next season.

Those imo are the only ones worth taking at 9 (that we have a legitimate shot at getting) and even then I'm not sure I'd take Coples.

Being the best LB doesn't mean you should automatically be considered top 10 worthy. Not convinced yet on Kuechly.
