Just because a person is talented doesn't mean he can evaluate talent. Didn't Steve Smith call Rhyne Robinson "the next Steve Smith". there is a reason he caught 26 balls at Hofstra. I did like his blocking and st blow ups though .

You mean Ryne Robinson. And who was throwing Ryne the ball?

And it's not like Cam is asking the FO to invest multi-year contracts in some aging vets that sweet talk him, or old college buddies looking for favors. He just mentioned he thought this kid was worth a shot, and Hurney saw enough to bring him to camp and see what he could do.

I truly believe Cam can make anyone great. All the tools this guy has, he has a chance to surprise a lot of people. His chemistry with Cam and his special team abilities doesn't hurt anything. I hoping for an awesome story with Manno.

I think he was brought in to push Pilares and compete for our #3 WR & PR/KR. They both seem to have the attributes to be a Wes Welker, Danny Amendola type slot WR with above average quickness and toughness. A big part of playing the slot is developing a chemistry with your QB which seems to be something he already has with Cam from training at IMG. Worst case scenario if he never sees the field, is that Pilares becomes a better player.

So we've got Smitty, LaFell, Gettis, Pilares, Manno once the regular season starts? I don't see Armanti making the cut this year. Still I feel like I'm missing somebody...

But with how frequently we use our tight ends and running backs 5WR seems about right.

It interesting that nobody even bothered to notice the guy never made a roster, never made a catch, doesn't a single stat in pre-season yet he was going to be the next Wes Welker and make our team as the potential 3rd receiver.

this place never ceases to amaze me
