With our new stud linebacker what do you think our plans are for thomas davis? I personally love the guy ive meet him and hes got a wonderful personally and a termendous love for the game. In your opinions does he get released or get one more chance as a mentor type for luke.

He stays, either to start or for depth. He'll be on the team this year.

Why keep him? I hate that we took Kuechly that high but he's a very good LB and will start pretty much out of the gate.

I don't see how this changes a thing. We lost Connor and LB depth is a good thing to have.

When he's healthy, the LBs will likely be Kuechly - Beason - Davis.

Davis isn't going anywhere for the time being. He's the 2nd best LB on the team.

Realistcally, Carolina can't depend on a guy doing something that hasn't been done. Davis' days are numbered....he won't last long on that knee.

Then we have great depth for a season and great LB play in a D scheme that is all about the front 7.....
