Again no. Go back and watch the game, he had a long run up the middle that inflated his numbers. Hardy got knocked down and Smith ran up the "middle" which was more like off tackle because no one was there with Hardy on the ground. Not having a linebacker who can read the play is what allowed that run to gain the yards that it did.

whp care what the reasons are that it happened the fact is it still happened. If you give up 100 you give up 100.

I like the player don't like the trade. He will be a situational pass rusher something we need. We still could have gotten him later.

The schools that recruited him:
Oklahoma
Auburn
Alabama
LSU
Florida
The U

seriously, it's an argument that is comprised of fans that use regurgitated knowledge from scouts, supposed scouts and tweets versus personnel that are paid to do it. Alexander may not be a day 1 dominating DE, but if he adds 10-15 pounds of muscle (which will happen in the weight room), he will be a lengthy athletic pass rusher. Wasn't that a need? Yup.... we got it for a mid-late 3rd next year and training camp fodder this year with a 6th rounder. Relax... we're having a great draft. I like the pick.

Alexander - 6'4 270

Johnson - 6'2 270

Thanks for playing.

At the same weight as Johnson, but 2 inches taller, Alexander is LEANER than Johnson. Taller does not mean bigger. Maybe he can get up to 280.

Thanks for playing.

Don't get me wrong, we still gave up too many yards to the run but understand that it was not from the lack of play out of the defensive tackles. Not having Beason and Davis killed this defense in more ways than the final stat line shows.

Hurney confirmed that the trade up was for Adams.

I like this kid though, he's gonna be my guy.

We need pass rush..we got it.

For you that hate this pick, dont.

If you want to hate trading next yrs 3rd, you have some beef, but this kid is going to be a great 3rd down pass rusher for us for years.

It's not the height that is the issue it is body mass spread over height. At this point Alexander is a little light in the ass, can get washed out in the run game because he lacks that bulk to hold his edge. Johnson being 2 inches shorter has a more compact frame and a lot more mass to his ass. He holds the point very well.

Alexander is very good against the run. He is the opposite of Hardy.

Unless he's put on 15 pounds of muscle since this was taken he is undersize sir. It's possible to put on weight but 15 pounds of muscle in such a short time...come on. You off your meds?

ok flip we'll see how this pick your co-signing for fills out. u people make me sick that follow blindly behind whatever hurney does. If hurney picks it it must be good right? A 3rd for a one year wonder who is undersized. not fast or strong with talented plays like crick still on the board. come on.

seeing how there is nothing we can do about it but bitch......I'd rather hope for the best.
