When someone is described as a "thug" what it usually means is "He likes rap and makes me uncomfortable."

Generally says more about the describer than the describee.

In listening to his interview, he seems delightful.

Some analysts have mentioned that he's cocky and has a air about him that he feels that he has already arrived. That can sometimes happen with a big fish in a small pond. His first NFL training camp is going to be a real wake up call and we'll see how he responds.

But, here's a news flash - most high level athletes ARE cocky, it kind of comes with the territory.

Seems pretty humble in his interview. 'Yes sir, no sir'

Unless your friend is the head coach, I don't give a fug.

I went to CCU know the 4 guys in the NFL so if I had to guess which one the OP is talking to Id say it would be more Thigpen or Tolbert just because they stayed the closest to the Program after leaving esp. Tyler. With that being said ill say this Josh was coached up by a hell of a guy and just like Teal did for us a few years back he will give us solid ST plays and contribute in the sub packages till he is ready to start. He has more natural talent then Teal, a lot better of a athlete and savvy so id expect him to make some plays next year but this is IMHO

I think Norman can really excel in zone. Have some reservations about his speed to man up and guard guys that run 4.3 - 4.4's.

Like this article on him http://bleacherrepor...the-senior-bowl

I have heard the same things about Norman. He's not so much a "thug" as he is a dude who got in some disagreements with the coaches about how he was used after his breakout year, and really wanted to have more opportunities for INTs on behalf of his draft stock even though they wanted to use him all over the field due to his talent. He was also convinced he would be a future NFL star and would taunt some opponents and even a few teammates with that conviction.

So, a bit of a jerk, but not even remotely uncommon at the NFL level, and rather similar to Jeremy Shockey's attitude when coming into the league. Smitty will beat it out of him ;)

There's a big difference between being a douche and a thug so the description is what it is

And if he plays with attitude and can get a little too into himself, I'm fine with that. We need some flavor on defense

Hey sometimes selfish players make good NFL players. They're hungry for stats and contracts. People are motivated by different things in life.

As Michael Irvin said a week ago: You don't win super bowls with choir boys.

deion sanders was/is a douche. Now he can say he was compared to sanders. Seriously, a big fish in a small pond may be a bit different here. Hogan scared us all last year and has been fine so far
