Game Of Thrones Grown Up Talk. Do Not Enter Unless You Have Finished All The Books

I agree with the theory that Rhagar and Lysanna are Jon's parents. The only thing I have a problem with is how Ned let his wife treat him. Why didn't he just tell her the facts so he could keep his 'honor' and shut her up? Who knows maybe Jon would have had a somewhat better life for it (better as in not getting the dagger eyes from his step mom for 14 years.) Of course then it would have been harder to keep it a 'secret' from the reader, so I guess it's just a literary tool in this case.

And yeah I don't believe Jon is dead either.

I think Meera Reed is Jon's sister, and Jojen = Howland

if you skip to the 3rd, you'll wonder why characters not in the show are carrying story lines that are in the show

you'll know the barebone basics of what happened, but you'll miss out on a bunch of the why

Yeah I get that...because that is obviously in Baratheon's character to do it. However, I haven't seen any indication in the writing that Cat is loose lipped and couldn't keep the secret. That should have been built into her character somehow because Ned keeping this a secret from his wife doesn't make sense (i.e. the loss of 'honor' for Ned, as well as the harsh treatment of Jon by Cat). Unless maybe we're wrong about Jon being Rhaegar's son.

because he promised he'd tell no one...not even cat?

we don't actually know what he promised specifically.

    • I wouldn't say he made him look bad, just expendable (and overpaid).
    • Good let them. Will just allow other good players to drop to us in round 2-4

    • And this is my problem.  Its not that he can or can't run from the shotgun. The problem is that he never has and you just don't know. Will he have the patience to wait beside the QB with the ball in his belly? And during that time the line is blocking and shifting in front of him. There is no definite "hole" to run to. After the QB finally leaves the ball to him, does he have the read-option vision to find that little crease in the line, plant his foot, and cut through it? Jonathan Stewart does, but Stew played in a spread, shotgun offense in college, so he already knew what he was doing. Can Fournette do that well? The answer at this point, since he's never been asked to, is "maybe". Do you spend the #8 overall pick rolling the dice on "maybe"? At a position that in general is the most short-lived in the NFL? Maybe DG and Rivera do exactly that.  If so, I can understand their gamble and would hope for the best. Fournette is a great talent.
