Unfortunately I think the 76ers will do everything they can to keep him

Hickson is a bum. I want nothing to do with that guy.
Hickson averaged 15 points 8 boards and a block per game after he went to Portland. He has a ton of talent. IMO he is a Brandon Bass type player with more natural talent. He'd be a nice addition.

yeah hickson would fit the system better than hawes
Not if they do the right thing and move Bismack to PF. Then you have Bismack (the defender and rebounder) at PF and Hawes (the post scorer and pick and pop bigman) at Center.
JJ and Bismack front line gives us a undersize front court.

How is Hawes as a defensive player? To me, it sounds like a pick and pop, shooting center-type is what we currently have in Mullens. Not that I want to hinge the future on Mullens, but wondering what separates the two.
Hawes has a actual Back to the Basket game and is a solid rebounder. He is a great passer from the post as well.

Then put me on the Hawes bandwagon.

Re-Sign Augustin(trade purposes)
Sign Hawes
Walker - Augustin
Henderson - Gordon
MKG - Williams/Taylor
Bismack - Jamison/Thomas
Hawes - Mullens
Would be a fun team to watch and would have some trade bait.

If you are talking Hickson, may as well throw anthony randolph into the conversation.
Hawes is better than Mullens at everything Mullens does, plus he is a good rebounder, passer, shot-blocker, etc - all the things Mullens doesnt really do at all. Until Mullens can consistantly shoot over 35% from 3, he shouldnt really be playing more than 12 minutes a game.
