Little segment of the fantasy eggspurts at NFL.com talking about Cam. Its pretty obvious Fabiano only pays attention to fantasy football and not actual football, whining about how the Panthers stack runningbacks that they don't give the ball to.

Comparing Cam to a guy like Steve Grogan and other QBs with big rushing TD totals is kinda a joke considering none of those quarterbacks were built anything like Cam.

Well from a fantasy aspect.....Carolina didn't give Double Trouble the ball. Newton pretty much makes Carolina RBs only valuable in very large leagues

Ehhh idk, I've never been a huge fan of drafting Stu or Williams as a starter on my fantasy teams, even before Cam. It's always a guessing game. I usually just use them to sub in during bye weeks or poor matchups.

You are correct though, Panther's RBs have very little value in fantasy.

Only way I see Newton dropping off is if Carolina gets the bright idea to take his legs away to a noteworthy degree.....if they don't and he is healthy.....he can't be stopped. He might make errors but no one is going to consistantly stop him week to week.

last year, cam had a bout 5 rushing td's that on the previous play would have been passing td's had the progress gone 1 to 3 yards further.

yea I think smith gets tackled at the 1 yard line more than any other receiver in history. He did it twice vs GB in 08 lol.

True but after a while the media and other types start to circle like flies on poo unless a guy has elite #s, winner or not. Flacco is one example of this, there are many more.

I do care about his #s but only bc of the long-term repercussions to the franchise. If he plays badly and we win every week he's going to get labeled a bust.

I want him to be elite, and us to be elite.

I wish they kept this stat because having Cam and Steve on my fantasy team I felt like I constantly saw "70 yard pass from Cam to Steve Smith, Tackled at the 1." Steve should have had at least 2 or 3 more TD's last year but got brought down short of the endzone on multiple passes.
