It's Jerry's team. wtf are you talking about?

So we're cool with Big Cat turning into Jerry Jones?

Bingo. Dwayne Freaking Jarrett had more of a positive impact on the Panthers than Armanti has had.

Armanti isn't a lazy alcoholic getting arrested every week

If the guys in charge of the Panthers were running the Seahawks, there is no way Russell Wilson would be starting over Matt Flynn.

And yet a no-talent, lazy alcoholic like Dwayne Jarrett still contributed more to the on-field success of the Panthers than Armanti has.

You people keep posting the same argument over and over. I ask, why is he here? You reply "because he deserved to make the team". So it's basically, he's here because he's here. How in the hell is that an argument?

I want you or someone else to actually tell me WHY he deserved to make the team. He is the exact same player Jerald Green is, yet Jerald Green is much much faster. Hell, he didn't even flash as much as Lamont Bryant did.

As others have pointed out, if Armanti hadn't been drafted where he was with a 2nd round pick being traded for him and had come in as an UDFA, there is no chance in hell that he makes this roster. NONE.

He was able to field over 40 punts last season without mishandling one. With our offense's ability to score this is highly valuable, especially considering the dropsies that have plagued Joe Adams. We may end up needing him more for what he's already proven he can do than anything additional he may or may not bring to the table.

not really, you're just thinking about it in a very simple minded way.

Just shut up SMF. This coming from a guy who has literally no idea which state Appalachian State is even in, just shut up.

I keep hearing the same six people whine about these magical Armanti homers, about a grand sum of three people who appear to only come out, from an outsiders perspective, when baited.

Armanti is on the team. It was expected by any of us paying attention that he wa probably going to be. This stupid little preteen temper tantrum your throwing makes me glad he is.

Just shut up. Nobody cares about this banner movement your apparently trying to start. I'd rather Remember Arizona.

He actually only had to field 32 punts and ranked dead last in the league of guys that fielded at least 20 punts in 2011 in average return length. His long of 17 yards was also dead last in the league.

I actually have nothing against Armanti and am somewhat of an App fan. But you can look at any other player that's been here for the past 3 years, regardless of position or where they went to school, and Armanti had contributed less than all of them.

I have a big problem with keeping around people that do absolutely nothing to help your team year after year especially when there are better options out there.

Have you been to every practice?

Have you been in every meeting?

Have you been pouring over film with other coaches?

Then shut the fug up because you know NOTHING. "Jared Green is much much faster?" Green officially ran a 4.38 at his pro day. Armanti ran a 4.41. Armanti has also been clocked at 4.39. Are you really going to try and convince everybody that 0.03 seconds is MUCH MUCH faster? These are human beings, not search algorithms.

If AE hadn't been drafted in the 2nd he wouldn't be on the team? Everette Brown was drafted in the 2009 2nd rd after trading a 2010 1st, and he got cut before the start of 2011. But Hurney doesn't admit his mistakes... I suppose when Brown was cut, somebody must have divided by zero. Byron Bell was a UDFA and is the starting RT with Otah (1st rd pick) on the streets. How are you... I don't even... whaaaaat????

Just stop posting. Slam your fingers in a piano, a door, a fat chick's scooter, something. Whatever you do, please stop posting until you can install a filter on yourself.

    • I've worked as an IT contractor for the state of Texas for the past 6 years. I do basic IT hardware support mainly supporting equipment that is a decade old and obsolete. I do stuff like requisition a new hard drive for a server and replace it. Or troubleshoot network problems. If I can't solve a problem I move the ticket up the chain. Pretty basic stuff. I'm currently studying for a CompTIA A+ certification and an MTA cert just to make my resume look better. I was given word that our contract with the state is not being renewed. It expires August 31, so I'm going to be laid off unless my company can find somewhere else for me to work. We've already laid off 10 people since this time last year and my team only has 3 people left on it. The work is drying up as the state moves more and more to virtual server technology so I'm like 99% sure I'm being let go. I'll probably get 4-5 weeks of severance and I can apply for unemployment. Austin has an insurance program for musicians I can apply for since part of my income comes from playing music. I've been trying to get a new job doing basic tech support or even call center type stuff but the jobs are either terrible, like want someone with the kind of experience I have but pay $12/ho and I won't be able to afford my rent, or they require stuff that is way over my head. I went to school for audio engineering at UNCA,. I didn't really intend on pursuing IT as a career, but music doesn't pay poo and I kind of have to go in this direction. I'm pretty depressed because I've been searching for a new job for years, and I've had interviews and whatnot, but the jobs either don't pay enough for me to leave my current position or they require stuff I don't have and/or want to pursue. I feel like I'm stuck in neutral. I'm almost 30 and I feel like my career hasn't gone anywhere and I'm going to be making just a little above entry level pay my whole life.  Anyone ever been in this situation before? How did you make your career take off, or find something you were passionate about and run with it?
