yeah i'm sure fox was just crying out for manning especially considering all the comments he's made over the years re: drafting quarterbacks high and breaking the bank for top-shelf FAs. renting an expensive quarterback for a few seasons is not his style at all. this was clearly elway's doing and the fact that fox is hands off with the offense says a lot about his role in denver.

also i don't know what's wrong with you if you expect a second year quarterback to be as "cerebral" as peyton manning. arguably nobody in the entire league is as "cerebral" as him.
