4Corners

Irish to the ACC

Sure, ND plays some current/ future ACC schools, but 10 of their last 17 games against said schools have been vs. BC or Pittsburgh. Now they get to add some really high profile games. Also, ND has never scheduled more than 3 current ACC schools in a season (including this year), so why dont we stop pretending like this is somehow par for the course for ND.

Also, lol at the big 12 being good at basketball. Kansas is good, and occasionally someone else decides to join them. Thats like saying the SEC is good at basketball because they have UK + a bunch of teams that dont give a poo about basketball

Oh, and despite all your predictions of doom and gloom for the ACC, zero schools have seriously talked about leaving the conference. Why dont you ask Texas A&M and Missouri what they think of the big12

Squirrel, I agree with what youre saying and I know the innerwebs brings out the laziness in sentence structure and spelling, but good God man you gotta proof read that poo. Youre not helping the stereotypes of WVU academics

They'll pick , Wake,Duke , Virginia , NC state, and either NC or BC if they're smart. Sorry carolina fans there is no reason to believe the nc teams arn't the worst in the acc in football. This coming from someone who pulls for wake on the side.

Yeah ND will find reasons to backout of games against the good teams in the acc. They was supposed to play 3

Teams every year. They found reason ever year not to play teams.

Its already been announced that they will be rotated between the 14 schools. Notre Dame is not the same program they use to be, even though they still draw a lot of fans. If they are ever going to return to national prominence, they are going to need to do a better job recruiting in hotbeds like Florida. A nationally televised game against an FSU or Miami might help in that regard.

i think notre dame understands that exposure in the southeast & southwest are critical to their hopes of fielding a consistent top 15 caliber team. I expect the ACC to try to capitlize this partnership as much as they can. i expect a couple games to move to neutral sites that are beneficial to both & by having the irsh as a part of its bowl lineup will mean access to some of the better non-BCS bowls.

It has already been determined that the ACC will be responsible for scheduling the five schools ND will play each year. All ACC schools will play ND a least once every 3 years.

Well at least the ACC was smart enough to do that.
