I would rather keep Jake until he turns 46 , then pick up Vick.

I you all know how much I like Jake.

Signing Mexico would mean a permanent disavowal of the Panthers for me. Not going to happen so I'll hold on to my gear. But wow the fact that some of you would consider it is just poor. Take him if guaranteed a Superbowl? No. Because others got off lighter than they should then golly Mexico deserves another chance? No, not a good argument.

Seriously, all those in that camp: EAD.

TYVM.

My point isn't whether he is good in the NFL or not when people say "give him a 2nd chance". My view is... He has a 2nd chance, in the real world.
Mine as well. Say I committed a crime and just got out of jail. Would I have the right to have my old job back? No. Would my company (in his case, the NFL itself, not individual teams) have the right to say thanks but no thanks? Yes. Herm may have said what he did because he thinks highly of Fox and his ability to handle that situation. They have been friends forever. Also, people bringing up Little et al. Those were all under Tags and have no bearing on what Goodell does. Let's see how he handles Stallworth, who did what he did under Goodell's watch.

Leonard Little crimes for those like me that may have been wondering. Wow.

http://www.answers.com/main/ntquery?s=leonard+little&gwp=13

Manslaughter Conviction

After leaving a birthday party drunk in 1998, Little crashed into and killed Susan Gutweiler in St. Louis, MO. When tested, his blood alcohol level measured 0.19 percent, a level that exceeds the statutory level of intoxication of 0.08 in the state of Missouri. Little received 90 days in jail, four years probation and 1000 hours of community service.

Second arrest

Six years later, in 2004, Little was again arrested for drunk driving and speeding.[5] The probable cause statement filed by police said Little had bloodshot and watery eyes, smelled of alcohol and failed three sobriety tests. [6] Because of Little's 1999 guilty plea to involuntary manslaughter in his drunken-driving crash case, prosecutors charged him as a persistent offender. This made it a felony case.[6] Little was acquitted of driving while intoxicated, but was convicted only of the misdemeanor speeding charge.

im pretty sure half of you have done something worse for gods sake its a dog.and he did the time, look at what mr little got and he still playing.to the question i would love to have him here.the guy has real talent.he killed us year in and out.his last game in BOA he put on a air show.i can careless if a guy is not the so called norm if he is a winner.carson palmer suppose to be this great qb but how many playoff games has he won.he could fit in our system to because our qbs are game managers not to mention if no one is open he will tuck it and get yards instead of throwing it to a triple covered steve smith.

John Fox said that he's looking forward to seeing Vick at training camp.

half the people have done worse things than bankrolled an illegal dog fighting operation, tortured animals, paid people to kill the animals and watched it being done in horrible inhumane ways and lied about it to their bosses getting not only fired but sent to prison? not sure what things are like in your neighborhood but i can safely and positively say that half of the people haven't done things worse than that.

and re: little, he should be in jail as well. he definitely shouldn't be playing

professional football.

re: vick being a winner...on the field he has had some success. the panthers got him figured out, though. that "airshow" the last time he played at BoA? 10 completions on 22 throws for 140 yards and 2 TDs...one of which was a 1 yard TD. yeah, they won but it was no airshow. against us those last two years he was almost as ineffective on the field as he was in the courtroom.

he has a career record of 38-28-1, (Federal) Felony conspiracy in interstate commerce/aid of unlawful animal fighting venture (Title 18, USC, Section 371); (Virginia) Felony dogfighting and dogeating, 3 years in prison and $2500 fine. you may call that a winner but i sure don't.

I would have no problem with Vick in Carolina.

He has served his time.

More time than Leonard Little ever served for that matter.

Everyone gets a second chance.

YOU CANNOT DENY his athletic ability.

Ask yourself this.

If you knew today that Mike Vick on this team would = Lombardi would you have a problem with him here ?

''as hard as it is to say it yes i would have a problem. im happy to not have any distractions.
