The sad part is, Jon Beason has reiterated in no uncertain terms that he wants to stay in the middle. I expect Rivera to defer to Jon, even if he continues to play like a shell of his former self.

So maybe Luke doesn't get DROY.

The best thing for the team is to keep Luke in the middle and rotate Jon and Thomas. But that's not what will happen.

Good thing is they have a long break here to think about it. Clearly it is most beneficial to the team to have Luke in the middle and he is our future there. Sure Ron will make the right decision with this. It will be hard to tell Beason that Luke will be starting in the middle but it has to be done. It is a business and these decisions have to be made sometimes. You can't really care about player's feelings when it comes to these things.
