a torn labrum can be very serious and can take a long time to heal, depending on the degree of the tear. there's no telling how bad ed reed's tear is as compared to gamble's. i would like to see any of you function with a torn labrum before you ever call someone soft.

I don't see how Gamble isn't IR'd if it is a torn labrum. Recent history has shown the Panthers don't risk it with that type of injury (Matt Moore 2010, Mike Pollack 2012)

If Gamble doesn't play with it, it will just further illustrate the mindset of this team and organization. And as some have said, that is in direct relation to our mediocre performance year in and year out.

Gamble is the most important, and best player on our D.

This is going to be tough.

You are a dummy if you think Gamble doesn't want to be out there. Calling our best player on defense overpaid or weak is just stupid. If Chris Gamble played in a bigger market, he would be a perenneal pro bowler.

Just because you play in the NFL does not mean you are tough.

You can also be tough if you don't play in the NFL, people put these guys on too high a pedestal.
Otah was a prime example.

Depends on the severity of the tear.

Not sure how Gamble's compares to the one Beason had.

Wonder if his injury will prevent him from picking up his check Monday morning.

The concept of this team being soft also has little to do with how real or bad these injuries are.

We get pushed around every Sunday and only have a couple of players who would be considered tough or hard nosed.

hurney needs to be on that phone right now trying to get someone to come in...preferably via trade.

Do you really trust Hurney to make a trade and us not get screwed? Especially when the other teams know we're desperate?

And D.Will better be a part of the convo

Rayzor is right. We trade DWill today and $9.6 million in unallocated bonus hits our cap immediately. We would have to cut half our scrubs and go with a 45 man roster. We couldn't cut any of our stars because they all have unallocated bonus also.
