I think we're just under utilizing him like the rest of the backs. Let's face it, Tolbert is a RB, not a blocking fullback. The best lead block today came on a play where Olsen was leading the block and Olsen is pretty poor at blocking.

he's here because he wanted to be here and he was pretty cheap.

why not keep him around? it's not like he's getting a big fat paycheck.

now we should have brought shockey back, but tolbert had nothing to do with that. we could have and should have had both here and could have done it without much of a problem.

He needs to get more touches the guy is a beast. Rarely use him in a TE position and should be. One of my issues with Chud this year. He needs to go watch film on what this guy, realize what he can do and get to it.

You could hit Tolbert in the flat every other play like the Aints do with Sproles and have that be the backbone of the offense. The problem is not having enough touches to go around.

They've tried that, and he's dropped 75% of them.

Not trying to hate on him though, he's worth what we're paying him.

When are people going to realize he's a fullback? When is the last time you saw a fullback do more than Tolbert?

Maybe we don't utilize him as much as we could but we have Stewart, Williams, and Cam fugging Newton.

Speaking of underutilized... this team needs to use Barnidge more. His blocking is improving alot, and the kid catches the ball when it's close to him. He's uses his body to shield defenders and uses his hands to catch the ball. I swear if Chud would just treat him like Shockey, we'd all be very surprised by what he can do.
