Yeah... something like that makes a man in his position vulnerable to blackmail and also there's the trust issues...

I can't believe Petreaus was having an affair and was caught! Thats so out of the realm of possibility!

I can totally believe the he made up hes having an affair to cover up Obama wanting mericans to die while he watches smugly in his cozy situation room before he campaigns!

Patraeus wasn't towing the party line regarding Benghazi and someone had this information I bet.

Maybe Patraeus' wife should run for Senate of New York. She's earned it.

This, more likely ... not that the affair didn't happen, but that it became "convenient" ....

Clinton and Petraeus. Benghazi is going to get ugly and we all should be asking the media why they didn't move on this story when the details come out.

Speaking on CNN, former CIA operative Bob Baer noted that while resignations from extramarital affairs are not unheard of at the agency, they are almost never the announced reason for giving up the post.

"I think there's a big story behind it," Baer said.
